Assistive Technology Service - G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Centre

Provided by Vancouver Coastal Health

Provides consultations and equipment loans for adults and teens with disabilities.
Supports clinicians and rehabilitation professionals working with adults and adolescents with disabilities. Support is provided in the form of: consultation, assessment, evaluation, intervention, education and equipment trials. This service consults with and supports a client team in the assessment, selection, and application of technology to further an individual's goals related to seating, communication, vocation, education, leisure, and independent living. Maintains a selection of augmentative communication devices, environmental control systems, and accessibility devices for demo/trial. Also provides courses for physician training offered through integrated school curriculum. Also accepts inquiries from the general public.
