Child Services, Condition Specific Support, Disability Services, and Healthcare Providers

- Infant Development: A home-visiting program to support families with children aged birth to three years. It is designed to help parents promote their child's learning and development - especially if a child is experiencing or is at risk for developmental delay.
- Supported Child Development: A community-based program designed to support parents and their child when and where it is needed. This program supports children up to 12 years old (13 -19 on a case-by-case basis) who have or are at risk for a developmental delay, behavioural concerns, or need extra support to attend a public program like preschool.
- Youth Outreach: A program for children 13 and 19 years old that have been designated as a Child or Youth with Support Needs by Ministry of Child and Family Development (MCFD). A referral from the MCFD CYSN Social Worker is required for this program. This program includes many different activities and is geared towards helping youth prepare for life during and after high school.
- Child and Youth With Support Needs: This program is for parents with children between the ages of 6 and 12 with support needs who have been previously diagnosed and qualify for CYSN services through the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). Various support services are offered such as planning, sourcing funding/grants, finding respite, and educational opportunities. A referral from the MCFD CYSN Social Worker is required for this program.
- Complex Developmental Behavioural Condition:Supports children up to the age of 19 with confirmed or suspected complex behavioural conditions. This includes neurological conditions such as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (F.A.S.D.). The program offers personalized one-on-one support to your family, as well as skills-based group programming. A child does not require an official diagnosis to access our C.D.B.C. program, and self-referrals are accepted.
- Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy: Provides physiotherapy and occupational therapy to babies, children and teens. Although these services are free, there may be a waitlist.
- Early Intervention Enhancement: A voluntary program for families with children aged birth to five years that supports the development of good mental health and wellness for before school-aged children. It is designed to help parents promote their child's good mental health from an integrated approach by streamlining the connection of families to services and assisting families to navigate systems and develop their natural support network.
