Medical Services Plan (MSP)

Provided by Government of British Columbia

Provincial health coverage for British Columbia residents.
Enrolment with MSP is mandatory for all eligible residents and their dependents. Click here for information about BC residency and MSP eligibility, and click “Are you eligible?”.

The Ministry of Health advises that where a child is eligible for MSP but parents or guardians are not, the child must be enrolled in their own MSP account. To do this, submit an MSP Application for Enrolment on the child’s behalf using only the child’s personal information as applicant. The form must include:
  • Signature of the parent or guardian
  • A copy of the child’s birth certificate
  • Parent or guardian contact information on a separate piece of paper
