More Online Access to Cancer Screening Letters in B.C.

Patients can now access reminder and result letters for breast, colon and lung screening programs as of November 28, 2024 on Health Gateway. This is an addition to cervix screening letters that have been available online since February 2024. These digital letters are identical to paper letters mailed out to screening program participants.

Raising Awareness on HIV/AIDS Awareness Day: Supporting Those Affected by HIV/AIDS

December 1st marks HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the ongoing HIV/AIDS epidemic, supporting individuals living with HIV/AIDS, and commemorating those who have lost their lives to the disease. HIV/AIDS remains a significant public health issue, with millions of people worldwide living with HIV and AIDS-related illnesses. Despite advancements in treatment and prevention, stigma, discrimination, and barriers to healthcare continue to impact individuals living with HIV/AIDS. It's important to combat misinformation, promote HIV testing and prevention, and advocate for equitable access to care and support services.
